THE FOUR INGREDIENTS

BODY & SENSES

The ingredients for all the courses offered throughout “An Edible Inner Journey” are the same, but formulated in various ways depending on your needs. Your sensory preferences from a physical standpoint are the starting point. Understanding the wisdom your bodily responses offer, including your aesthetic preferences, helps to ground your journey.

MIND & PSYCHE

Your psychological orientation is the next ingredient. We examine your visions, imagination, paradigms, and world view. This is also where we discover potentially limiting beliefs, shift into new mindsets, and expand your understanding of your Self.

ANCESTRY

The third ingredient includes work with your ancestry. Specifically, what attitudes, beliefs, and behaviors have you perpetuated and perhaps cultivated in your life? The traditions that have been passed on may or may not be helpful in creating the life you envision.

RITUALS

The final ingredient, creating rituals, is about assimilating and practicing all the information gained. A powerfully congruent set of guidelines will become available, based on all that you have discovered and decided is highly meaningful, joyful and vital!

TRANSFORMATIVE LEARNING THEORY

Transformative learning theory, otherwise known as “perspective transformation,” is what ”An Edible Inner Journey’s” programming is built upon. This fascinating theory that states that shifts in perspective based on “uprooting” and “challenging” our current views are what create
a foundation for true transformation.

  • First, question how you understand your "Self" and what
    you think you know.

  • Second, examine how you act as a result of these beliefs.

  • Third, explore and experiment with your behavior.

  • Fourth, reflect and decide what works for you.

Through cycles of inquiry, testing different behavioral choices, critical reflection and discussion of our discoveries, we create new scenarios that may or may not be in line with our current belief systems. We do this on our own and in groups. Each line of inquiry is completely personal and open-ended. This means that we decide what is most meaningful to us to explore…and then do it in our own space and our own way. When we examine our findings, we realize what does and doesn’t work.

Engaging in the process automatically creates deeply meaningful and sustainable change...…the absolute outcome of this program.
